Food Bank
Founded in 1980, the San Antonio food bank serves one of the largest areas in Southwest Texas. Their focus is for clients to have food but also have the resources to be self-sufficient in the future. The organization actively fights hunger and feeds hope for families and individuals in San Antonio and Southwest Texas.

Animal Defense League of Texas
ADL operates as San Antonio’s only true kill facility. This means that no animal is ever euthanized if it can be treated and returned to health. If the shelter reaches its maximum capacity of 400 animals, no additional cats or dogs can be taken in, but no animal will ever be euthanized to make room for others. Animals can only be brought in and cared for only as others are adopted.
